Memorial Go-Kart Scholarship Program

2021 Application Period is now closed. 2022 Application deadline will be spring (April) of 2022.

The Memorial Go-Kart Scholarship program was established in 2008 and is the result of the annual Memorial Go-Kart (MGK) Racing Season fundraisers. Each year scholarships are awarded to multiple Southeast Wisconsin High School students who are pursuing continuing education for a career in the area of trades. The total value of the Memorial Go-Kart Scholarship will be announced after our annual event. Previous years scholarships have totaled over $7,500!

Scholarship recipients are graduates of: Washington, Fond du Lac, Sheboygan, Ozaukee, Milwaukee, Waukesha or Dodge Wisconsin Counties and are enrolled in a 2 year program, certificate program or another credited program from a vocational school in the trades.

Skilled trades are occupations that require a special skill, knowledge or ability which can be obtained at a technical school or through specialized training. Skilled trades provide an alternative to jobs that require four years of college education. Examples of the trades are, but not limited to carpenter, electrician, auto painter, machinist, elevator mechanic, ironworker, metal fabricator and aesthetician.
